While this project was cut short by layoffs, I co-led the migration and set up foundational elements that improved consistency and made the system usable across teams. It also marked the moment I realized I would be completely okay with working in design systems full-time.

Legacy components lacked structure, documentation, and could be reduced to less variables. This button alone had several variations and finding what you needed wasn't easy.

Components were buried in random folders, inconsistently named, and hard to find, slowing down every feature. I started by mapping a logical file structure and standardizing naming so the system could scale without confusion.
